At Huntingdon House our Hygienist and Oral Hygiene Instructors will work very closely with your dentist to prevent and treat gum disease. There is now increasing evidence linking gum disease with heart disease and strokes. It is also the main reason for loss of teeth and we take the treatment of gum disease very seriously.

Your hygienist can will remove calculus (tartar) from teeth by scaling and polishing, remove heavy staining by using gentle air abrasion and of course treat gum disease. Your hygienist is often the best person to advise you on the most suitable dental products for your individual needs. We stock a full range of oral health products at the practice for your convenience.

Our Oral Hygiene Instructors teach good oral hygiene techniques to maintain healthy teeth and gums. This is particular important for young children who are just beginning to brush their own teeth and so at Huntingdon House Dental Practice we provide this service free to our children.
